So on Monday night I caught up with some of my dearest brothers for a Christmas dinner organised at Gaven's restaurant (some of you might remember posts about Gaven and Josie from yonks ago!).
Mum took a great interest in getting me dolled up and told me, "You look so lovely in that dress! You can't wear flats!". I'm blaming her for how ridiculously overdressed I was for a fancy/casual Christmas dinner outing.
It was the most delicious feast of my life. I probably busted a few seams of my dress after eating it all.
We had a banquet that we shared which included a variety of entrees, mains, curry and dessert.
The entrees were little pastry buckets you stuffed with yummy meaty stuffings, golden crunchy parcels of pastry with morsels of meaty stuff inside and spring rolls. Yummy.
Mains were honey chicken, sweet and sour pork, a beef stir fry of some description, red curry and rice! Lots of rice. Haha.
Gaven placed a wager that if we could eat every last bit of food from our mains he would pay for our deserts, so the boys were determined and crunched up every little onion slice and even the decorative parsley garnishing. Yuck.
Deserts were scrumptious! A few of us had lychees and ice cream while the others had deep friend banana with ice cream and caramel and chocolate topping. It was super delicious!
I also nabbed an awesome present for my brother for Christmas, but I'll have to show you that later.
Hope you're all eating as well as I am!
Merry Christmas all.
Melanie xx
