It's time for another cooking blog! Yum Yum Yum it's Spinoglio fun.
Enough chit chat lady, get back in the kitchen!
So, I got home from my brief run today and mum was in a baking frenzy.
I'm talking chocolate muffins here there everywhere. Best of all, she was baking some chocolate cake layers to make the:
TRIPLE BYPASS ARTERY DESTRUCTION WHITE FOREST CAKE.
Follow along as best as you can to re-create this masterpiece.
First cook two or three (ooh that's for next time) layers of chocolate sponge cake. Spread raspberry jam.
Collect other ingredients (strawberries and cream) and beat cream to whippy perfection.
Now cut strawberries into quarters. Remove green leafy bits!
Spread the cream over your first layer. Be very generous.
Cover the cream with strawberries until complete!
Here's a tricky part. Maneuver the next layer over the top and smoosh it down. Repeat the creamy step!
That's a little too generous mum.
Okay you don't have to do this, but we decided we had lots of excess cream. Thus, black forest cake turned white.
Place more strawberries around the edges.
WAIT! Leave one strawberry at the end so you can do this. . .
Open wide!
Considering my hands were messy already and that we had all that excess cream, you can't really blame me for doing this can you?
I'm a dirty filthy woman.
It was hard to resist the sad looking dog beneath my feet.
Turns out being a tease will always come back to bite you.
Ouch that hurt puny dog.
By now, the cake has refrigerated long enough so grab your plates and line up!
Cake for lunch anyone? I certainly did...
Three times! Haha kidding...
Now, let's think about this carefully people.
Run + bowl of whipped cream + lots of cake = negative benefit for figure.
Ah balls.
