Cupid, steady, aim - FIRE!

16th February: Location - Brisbane International Airport, City, St Lucia - everywhere!?

The fourteenth of February was Valentines Day. My Valentines Day story actually begins on the thirteenth, at Brisbane International Airport.

I was really nervous. Like really? Today I was meeting  my boyfriend who I hadn't seen for three months and woke up at 6:00 to arrive at the airport for 7:00am. I got there, woo-hoo success number one: Made it to the airport, but after that point I was fairly lost. I walked to the arrival board, scanned it to see there was NO flights from Korea. INSTANT PANIC - I'm a failure! I've never been too the airport and now I won't be there to greet Eric and it'll ruin the whole moment, DAMN. I went to walk to the help desk when someone tapped me on the shoulder.

"Eric!?", I exclaimed. There he was, with much luggage and smirking his ass off because he was following me from the moment I walked into the airport and walked in circles aimlessly in confusion. It turns out he had forgotten to factor in the two hour time differrence from Korea and had been sititng in the airport since 6:00am. Bummer! So fast forward the boring travelling to the city in the train which cost me an arm and a leg, we finally arrived at his apartment and unloaded all his luggage.

It was very interesting watching him unpack it all, uncovering old drawing books from his childhood, all his clothes from Korea and presents for me!! He gave me a really cute winter fleecy jumper with a dog on the front.

Still not sure what, Throw the Gum, has to do with the dog, but I like it. Some other wierd and wacky things from Korea are, this toothpaste. It's brown, and made of natural ingredients like, crushed up leaves, and . . . dirt. As unappealing as it is, I actually came to love it, it makes your teeth so white - and I am now trying to see if I can buy it here.
He also gave me his money (how generous). I found it quite interesting to look at and was like, "Why is there an old man on your money?", to which he held up an Australian note and said, "Why is there an old man on YOUR money?". Touche.

Now, this is where I'll pick up on the story. After all the luggage was unpacked we begun our adventure mission to find him a new home to live in. This is why my Valentine's Day was not your usual one, it was hot tiring and semi-scary because we ventured halfway across the city in midday heat to knock on stranger's doors and tour their homes. Regardless of the not-so-pleasant task, it would un-stress him if he found somewere to live, so we did this until we finally found one that was adequate and then kicked back our feet to enjoy the rest of our two day Valentines.

So we spent lunch together at the City or Toowong each day and on Valentine's Day we went up to the gaming arcade in Queen St Mall and did the typical couple thing, and played the Claw Game. I can't explain it, but for some reason, Eric had Valentine's Hack luck, and won a JACKPOT of stuffed animals for me. Like really, five things! Haha.

The dog is by far my favourite. Super soft and cuddly. Tia doesn't like the squeaky teddy very much.

Oh! My bad, I didn't tell you what I got Eric :) Unfortunately my camera ran out of juice really early on so I regrettably have almost no pictues of my Valentines Day :( so I can't show you the present but I'll tell you.

His present came in a Darrel Lea red love heart bag, filled with chocolate love hearts. Within there was a simple silver ring, it's gorgeous and fits him well and a book I made filled with photos and stories of our times together. I also had a hilarious card, but you can't see it so, oh well!

To top my Valentines Day off, my boyfriend cooked me dinner and breakfast and we had super spicy korean noodles. Woah, so hot, I was proud of myself for being able to eat them :)

That's my Valentine's Holiday~~

On a side note - I converted an old whiteboard into a weekly planner! Mm, not half bad.
Also, because Eric was moving homes, he gave me a whole lot of stuff he didn't want anymore, like the Globe at the beginning of this post, and these Bunny Ears.

Freaking adorable, I know. Below is my christmas present from my brother, an Ipod skin from GelaSkins.

Yay for crazy owls!

I have yet another story for you (can you tell I couldn't be bothered splitting this post into three?) and it occured the day after Valentine's Day (ahem ahem)

Due to the fact that Eric could not fit all his possessions into the car taking him to his new home, he dumped his brother's ginormous teddy bear into my arms and asked me to take it home. Sure, why not, you say?

BECAUSE CARRYING A GIANT TEDDY BEAR THROUGH THE CITY IS A HUGE TARGET.

I walked, attempting to portray a, "Talk to me and I'll fucking kill you" face, but unfortunately I was approached twice. The first time, was when I was walking with my uber death pissed off face and a guy who thought he was too cute, jumped in front of me and says in a corny voice, "Is that teddy for meeeee~?"
Yes, with a long me. Argh. I gave possibly the worst fake laugh I've ever tried to pull off, it even sounded bad to me.

The second time was when I was walking to the bus stops in Queen Street Mall and a man working at the Engravers yelled out, "Teddy Bear CRUELTY, TEDDY BEAR CRUELTY", to which I half smiled then dead panned him and walked off.

Grr - I will get revenge on my boyfriend.
