Today is a day I shall cherish. It was the second of my 'saturday day outs', in a row, and was an very tiring, yet fun day. I'll start from the top, because there's stories all throughout.
So, I woke up at 7am, like the usual, and said to myself, ' Gemma, its time to dolly up!', and squirmed into jeans and a white-tee. I cleaned up pretty okay, I do admit, but walking up the street, Ooh-La-La, not much fun.
Firstly, I was walking with my phone radio on and looked up the street to see a jacked up ute, travelling at a potentially 60km/h down my tiny speedbump riddled street. Feeling a sliver of worry, that perhaps the car hubcap would fling off and KO me, I scurried to the left. OMG. As this car flew past, the three guys crammed in, repetatively honked the horn, and one leant out of the window and hollerred, ' YOU'RE HOT '. Urgh, bogan white people. As much as I'd like to deny it, I did walk the rest of the distance up the street with a slight smile and swing in my hips, hey, I just got called hot, okay!?
Turns out I shouldn't have, because when I got to the busstop, the HMD kicked in. Recently, I have been sufferring from Hobo Magnet Disorder. It begun last saturday, when a homeless man asked me for some money, and me being ALONE (eric hadnt turned up, leaving me to fend for myself) I dished out $2. Hey, that's a lot to me, and he was standing really close to me!
So today, I'm innocently sitting and waiting, when a hear this, 'Hey'. I'm a pretty social and accepting person, so I didn't ignore the poor (Raymond?) chap, and we had this lengthy chat where he brought up some serious uncomfortable stuff. This is our exact conversation:
'Do you know what comfortable means?'
'Yes...'
'I find this bus shelter comfortable, don't you?'
*turns to the right and polite wtf facials*
'You think I'm strange don't you'
'Not exactly'
'Would you call it strange to meet 30,000 or even, 40,000 people?'
'Yes, that is quite strange, how do you meet that many people?'
'I sit here at the bus station and meet pretty 20 - 25 year old girls, like you!'
*Fuck, fuck fuck fuck fuck*
'OH whatta' you know, that's my bus, BYE!'
The worst bit was, I was sititing in the bus and as the doors closed he yelled out, 'BYE GEMMA', and was waving intensely. I mean, I'm glad I sorta made his day by being the first person to actually exchange conversation, but I was still dropping nuts.
What next? Ahh, I rocked up to state library, and sat down. JUST as I begun to text Eric to say I'd arrived, another hobo rocked up and asked me the time.
'Its almost ten'
'Thanks'
'No problem'
'They're nice jeans' *sits down beside me*'Oh...yes, they are...'
'Where did you get them?'
'Um.....a relative gave them to me'
'Ohk he-'
'SORRY GOTTA GO, MY FRIEND'S HERE'
And so I dashed out and molested Eric and Karl for safety! Yes, I wasn't alone anymore. The rest of my day consisted of study, getting bored of study, helping Eric with his stupidity, ooops, I meant ESL difficulties (hehe, its a good thing he doesn't read this) and getting chowder! Man, Ezyway was jizztastic, as usual, they don't disappoint! I have come to the conclusion today, that Eric is a bully. He SHOVES you out of the way when you're walking. Seriously? Jerkman.
Sniccker, I will probably be GAPE MANe'd for saying this, but it's too funny not to tell you. In the library, during the time when I was sick of studying, I was sleeping/ resting on the couches, and Karl whipped out this condom and chucked it at me. Charming, I know. This sparked a series of events, where Gemma was trying to sleeep, Eric trying to dare me to touch it and open it, Nick and Karl pissing themselves, and eventually, Eric stretching the condom over a water bottle. Yeah, matureeeee. Honestly though, it was soooo funny, and everyone in the library must have been like, SHUTUP you stupid teens.
Seriously, dangerous stuff getting Eric....ahem, agitated. I was SLEEPING and he was touching my belt , which is awfully close to ahem, other bodily areas, and was exchanging secret korean conversations with Nick that allways ended in them laughing and giving me sneaky looks. I know what you said, or at least, Karl does. (inside joke). However he made it up by giving me his UBER warm thermo jacket, it's like a heater man, so I snuggled in and rested until like 4:00.
Then, it was time for me to catch a bus home to go to babysitting! On the way to the bus stop, Eric bullied me more :( Trying to push me off the bridge...and into poles. Worst thing was, I was buying a ticket from the ticket machine and I only had a $20 note, so I used that. The machine paid me $18.10 purely in $1 coins. It was so embarassing, Eric just peeed himself laughing, but I died because it sounded like I won a slot machine jackpot. JINGLE JINGLEEE - money floods everywhere.
So, the bus ride home was nice and tame ( at least one average event in my day ) and I walked home, getting there at about 5:30. I shudn't have gone home, Mike and Pat were on the hunt for ruining my life, as per usual, and were discussing how they were gonna come to our schoolies accomodation with Adam. Urgh, give me strength, stupid boys! On that note, isn't this a sweet family pic? Just a night at my rellies they sprung the camera on us, thought you might like a picture to break up the lengthy day blog. *aww*
SO, my favourite part of my whole day (LOL, that sounds bad doesn't it), was babysitting my gorgeous neighbours. There is Fionn, a three year old sweet devil boy and Zarra, the cutest little 2 year old sweetie. When I arrived, they were both so excited, they did laps of the house and Fionn grabbed my hand and dragged me to play games with him. After playing for about, 45min, I read Fionn two bedtime stories, and he very sweetly said:
'Gemma, wanna sleep in my bed?'
'Sorry Fionn, I can't, but I'll stay in your house while you sleep'
'Will you stay here while I sleep?'
'Yup sure will'
'Thank you Gemma'
*kisses goodnight*
He was a good boy, and the majority of the night was trouble free, he stayed in bed while I watched movies! My neighbours have this lovely Apple library, and it had like every single movie in the world in it, so I watched....I admit it, New Moon (hey I hadn't seen it yet, and I had to see the Bella suggestive brow), a bit of UP and some Spiderman2. At about 11pm, little Zarra woke up and begun to scream, so I snuck in. It has to be the nicest, warmest memory I'll keep for sometime, picking her up in her little jumpsuit sack, cuddling her, patting her back and putting her back in her cot. She was out like a light, sucking her favourite Moo Cow toy, and really, it warmed my heart.
The night finished at about 12, they paid me $70, I was like woah, you REALLY don't have to, I enjoy looking after them. I'm going to use the money to help pitch in for Eric's formal costs, to keep my parents happy. That my procrastinating reader, is the end of my, mad saturday day out, it was really fun! I just can't wait to do it all again.
Melanie xx
P.S: Pat goes lololololol.
